Job Description: Our client is seeking a Senior level Hydrologist to join an expanding Water team. The work involved in undertaking this role may include the following activities, as well as other responsibilities as required:
1.Design and management of hydrological field programmes, including meteorological station installation, interpretation of historical hydrological data, river flow monitoring and estimation, water quality sampling & testing, site and catchment scale surface-water monitoring programmes.
2.Development/use of conceptual, analytical and numerical models for estimation of rainfall runoff, groundwater recharge and evaporation, for a variety of different environmental and land-use conditions. Modelling includes characterisation of input and outputs uncertainties.
3.Development of site and catchment-scale water-balance models for optimisation plans for water use. This includes representation of natural and anthropogenic sources of uncertainty and the impact they have on water resource planning.
4.Use of GIS systems (ARCGIS) for data capture, interpretation, analysis and presentation of hydrological information. Routinely used in surface water catchment analysis, runoff modelling and impact assessment studies. Also used in conjunction with existing industry standard hydrological models such HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS etc.
Essential Requirements of the role include:
•Degree or equivalent in a hydrology related science or engineering subject with preferably a higher degree and/or significant hydrological experience gained internationally.
•Previous experience of undertaking hydrological studies and contributing to project development work, ideally for international (non-UK) projects and for a variety of commodities.
•Experienced user of ARCGIS, ARCHydro and/or related GIS models.
•Previous hydrometry experience: surface water flow measurement (springs, streams, rivers); water quality sampling and measurement.
•Competent report and proposal writing skills requiring strong English language skills (verbal and written).
This position involves working in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects in the UK and overseas and international travel will form a large part of the role.

Job Description: A Graduate Geologist is required for a busy company in Bath. Some field experience is required and you will have a passion for this line of work. Dealing with contaminated land and area, you will carry out surveying on the area and carry out remedial work to rectify.
A BSc or MSc in earth sciences is required ideally in Geology, Hydrology, Ecology or similar. You will be confident when addressing large groups or peers as well as have an outgoing personality. A high level of written and spoken English is required as you carry out large communication via email and telephone. Travel oversees will be part of this role. Salary is inline with graduate schemes.

Job Description: Vacancies have arisen for individuals with experience as Senior Analysts to join the Inorganic Team of our Specialty Chemistry Section at Bretby. The role will involve sample preparation and analysis of routine and non-routine samples submitted to the laboratory and to report the findings of such tests, all within the client’s and ESG’s expectations in terms of accuracy and timescales. This will involve using appropriate analytical techniques and equipment (principally hot plates/microwaves, furnaces/ovens, Ion Chromatography, ICP-AES, and ICP-MS), working within the requirements of UKAS, MHRA and other QA and safety systems. Work will also include data processing & preparation of technical reports for customers so applicants should be IT literate. The ideal candidate will have significant experience of working within UKAS and MHRA requirements, proficiency schemes and audits. The successful candidate will hold a degree in chemistry or related subject, be computer literate with excellent communications skills both verbal and written, have the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines with good attention to detail.
